Bruce Krajewski is Professor and Chair of the Department of Literature and Philosophy at Georgia Southern University. He is the author, with Richard Heinemann, of Gadamer on Celan: "Who Am I and Who Are You?" and Other Essays (1997), Traveling with Hermes: Hermeneutics and Rhetoric (1992), and, with Doug Parker, A Brefe Dialoge bitwene a Christen Father and his stobborne Sonne: The First Protestant Catechism Published in English (1999).
Hans-Georg Gadamer (1900-2002) was one of the most important German philosophers of the twentieth century. His magnum opus, Truth and Method, was decisive in the development of hermeneutics. Richard Rorty
(1931-2007) was a prolific philosopher and public intellectual who, throughout his illustrious career, taught at Princeton, the University of Virginia, and, until his death, Stanford University.
Georgia Warnke is Professor of Philosophy at the University of California, Riverside. She is the author of Gadamer: Hermeneutics, Tradition, and Reason (1987) and Justice and Interpretation (1993).
